The Everest of the Ergon Metron, this event will test you to the core of your being. Not for those with soft hands or soft hearts. Legs of steel and the heart of a lion are required, along with an unabashed delight in suffering. Can you go to your pain cave and pitch a tent? We shall see.
The third stage race of the Ergon Metron Series Cup, the Frozen Hell No! 9K can be entered as a solo event or as part of the series.
• Each registered racer will receive an official UV-protected vinyl race decal.
To compete LIVE against other racers, you will need to use the ErgZone mobile app. This requires three things:
PM5 Monitor (with updated firmware).
C2 Logbook Account
Both the ErgZone mobile app and C2 logbook account are free. The only thing you pay to compete in one of our races is your entry.
If your erg doesn’t have a PM5 monitor:
- Set up your monitor manually by programming in the race piece on race day and do the event at its scheduled time. - Take a screenshot of your race screen at the finish. - Enter your race results into the free ErgZone app, including the screenshot of your monitor as soon as you finish.
**Racers in other time zones will have up to 24 hrs to manually enter their results to compensate for their location. This allows racers in different time zones to compete at reasonable hours.
Manual results will not be accepted with an incorrect race date displayed on the monitor. If racing in a different time zone, you must race on race day at the official start time. E.g., If the race starts at 9 am CDT on January 14, then you start at 9 am, whenever it’s 9 am on January 14 in your city.
Anyone competing in the Ergon Metron Series Cup MUST race on the scheduled race day of the event and at its scheduled start time (virtually or offline) to remain in contention for the EM Series Cup Championship.
RACERS IN OTHER TIME ZONES may compete at their local time on Sunday, January 14, but they MUST submit their results immediately after completing the event at their local time.
COMPETING ON AN OLDER MODEL ERG? If your erg doesn't have a PM5 monitor, you can still compete. You cannot participate in live racing, but your score will count in the official results and rankings. Just enter your race time manually and enter your results with a screenshot of your monitor on ErgZone so we can verify your event.
Manual Submissions must be entered on Sunday, January 14, and have the correct time per your location (9 am CDT in Chicago is 3 pm in London) to be counted in the official rankings and be posted on our website.
Make sure the date on your monitor is correct! We will only be accepting manual results from monitor screens dated 1-14-2024.
Fools Fest Sprints can't send your official race decal, medals, or other prizes without your mailing address. Let us know where to send your race merch. Thanks, and good luck! Click this link to enter your shipping address: https://forms.gle/Ax1notTZhK4fCX5G7
Rankings will be determined by age, weight class, gender, and para-athlete classifications. All results will be reported to Concept2 online rankings.
