The excitement at the World Rowing Masters Regatta stretched far beyond the iconic waters of Lake Bled in Slovenia. Held from September 9–13, 2026, this historic regatta gathered thousands of international rowers for five action-packed days of racing.
Right at the center of the event footprint, World Rowing partnered with ErgZone to run an official on-site activation at their booth. Athletes stepping off the water, teammates cheering them on, and spectators in the crowd jumped on the ergs to push for maximum distance in a high-intensity, 60-second sprint challenge.
Highlights from the Live ErgZone Leaderboard
Using the ErgZone Competitions Leaderboard, scores were captured instantly to fuel a dynamic live ranking on-site:
- Global Participation: A total of 99 athletes representing 20 countries (including Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Poland, Turkey, Uganda, the UK, and the US) participated in the challenge, with official results logged on the official event leaderboard.
- Top Overall Performance: Camiel Coolen (Male Master A) claimed the top spot on the leaderboard, pushing an incredible 400 meters in just 1 minute.
- Top Female Performance: Jenny van Dobben de Bruijn (Female Master C) delivered the top women's score, pushing an impressive 341 meters to finish tied for 27th overall.
- Cross-Generational Racing: Athletes of all ages stepped up to race—from the 10–18 division up to Master H (70+), where Richard Stout logged a stellar 337 meters to rank 30th overall.
- Incredible Diversity: The challenge brought together rowers across diverse age divisions, adaptive athletes (including Para PR2 performance by Jasmina Bier), and all fitness levels into one combined, searchable ranking.
